the Thinking Chair

Pull up a chair. Let's make room for things that really matter.

"What if you don't need to have everything figured out before you ask for help?"
"Guilt doesn't always mean you've done something wrong."
"You can love someone deeply and still need boundaries."
"What would change if you stopped measuring your worth by how much you carry?"

Short reflections for real life

Sit With This

Moments to sit with

A new question, every so often

What have I been carrying that was never really mine to carry?

Notice your patterns

Small insights, big shifts

Do you over explain when you say no?

Sometimes we explain ourselves at length because we're trying to make our boundaries feel acceptable to someone else.

A boundary doesn't need a courtroom defence.

A different way of looking at it

Same situation, a new perspective

"Instead of"

"I'm being selfish."

"I should be able to handle this."

"I'm going backwards."

"They're behaving badly."

"I need to fix this."

"Consider"

"I'm acknowledging that my needs matter too."

"I've been carrying a lot."

"Healing isn't always linear"

"I wonder what this behaviour is communicating?"

"Maybe I can sit with this before trying to fix it."

You Might Need to Hear This

Gentle reminders for hard moments

  • You are allowed to need support.

  • Rest doesn't need to be earned.

  • You can care deeply without carrying everything.

  • You don't have to understand everything you're feeling before you talk about it.

  • Setting boundaries doesn't make you uncaring.

  • You can be grateful for something and still acknowledge that it was difficult.

  • Progress can be happening even when it doesn't feel like it.

Take a Moment

A space to check in with yourself

What am I feeling?

What do I need?

What am I carrying that I could put down?

What is one small thing I could do for myself today?
